Cataract Causes at a Young Age

However, your blurred vision may go away after a couple of hours – imagine if that blurred vision never went away. This is the case with cataracts; individuals who have cataracts always suffer from blurred vision that just will not go away. There is nothing painful about cataracts, you won’t have any pain in your eyes, but it is really sad to deal with.
When it comes to your eyes, the lens of your eyes is mostly made out of protein and water. There are specific proteins located on the lens that are taking care of the clarity of your eyes. Throughout many years, your vision will be altered as you begin to age because of those proteins. Your eyes will start to cloud up. Cataracts are rarely found in babies or children, they are mostly found in adults. If a child does have cataracts, then this could be because of eye surgery, severe trauma towards the eye or even intraocular inflammation. There are a number of other causes of cataracts in children, but those are the main problems. Some others that will cause you to have cataracts at an early age include lots of exposure to ultraviolet lights, smoking and diabetes. Also, the use of medications such as oral topical or even inhaled steroids is known for causing cataracts at a young age.
